Obituary of Eileen Streit

Eileen Streit (nee Stringer), beloved wife of, the Late Andrew Robert Streit of Calgary, passed away on Monday, December, 16, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Eileen was a devoted mother, grandmother and took great joy at being a stay at home mom. She enjoyed watching the Calgary Stampeders and watching Chuck wagon races at the Calgary Stampede with her son Ron. Eileen and Andrew had their constant companion in their dog Skippy for may years. She was also fond of attending Rock Pointe Church with her son Ron. She dedicated time to volunteering at the Bethany Care Center and Foothills Hospital were she won Volunteer Awards. She will be dearly missed by those around her and will be remembered for being a caring and loving person and a long time friend and neighbor to many. She did life “Her Way”. Eileen is survived by her children Ron, Marilyn (Lamont), Dale (Kally); her grandchildren, Aimee (Craig), Nicole (Ryan), Brendon (Richele), Ashley (Shaun); her great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Katherine, Lillian, Clark, Austin, Elliot as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband Andrew; her grandson Dustin; her mother Mary and her brother Marvin. A Celebration of Life will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 – 16th Avenue NW (across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary) on Friday, December 20 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
