Obituary of Garry Dale Showman

SHOWMAN - Garry Dale April 18, 1944 - Galahad, AB January 25, 2020 - Calgary, AB Garry Showman passed away peacefully at the Bethany Harvest Hills on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the age of 75 years. Garry lived at the manor for the past five years after a long battle with dementia and a neurological disorder. Garry spent all of his forty working years with Crane Supply Ltd. in Calgary as a shipper and receiver-retiring because of his ongoing health problems. He was a long-time supporter of the Calgary Flames and never missed any hockey games and was very passionate with knowing about each player. Garry loved to be outside with his puppies and enjoyed camping. Garry was a great listener, dependable and had a gentle and humble spirit. He also enjoyed planting in his garden and watering his plants inside his house every day. Garry is survived by his wife Wendy; his twin brother Terry as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grandnephews and grandnieces. Garry is predeceased by his parents George and Helen; his older brother Bob. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all Bethany Harvest Hills support staff, medical personnel and Doctors for their loving care to Garry. The compassionate care was so evident during his final days of his life. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
