Obituary of Mary Lipsey

Mary Lipsey (nee Heyd), beloved wife of the Late William Lipsey of Calgary, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 82. Mary was born in Grainger, Alberta on September 21, 1937 to Martha and Henry Heyd. Mary met Bill while living in Calgary and they were married July 25th, 1959 and soon thereafter started their family. Mary is survived by her children Susan (Edward), Brenda, Deborah (Jeff), Dave (Denise), her beloved grandchildren Andrew (Brittney), Mitchell (Teresa), Brody, and Kylie; her sister Dena (Lou) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1998; brothers Herbert, Erven, Johnny, Wilbert, Wally and Richard; sisters Betty Mary and Viola. After her husband passed away Mary spent her time volunteering at the ALS Society, enjoying her garden and spending time with her family. As a sports fan, Mary would spend her evenings watching sports (Calgary Flames) and enjoying a glass of scotch. She was a wonderful, loving lady and she will be missed.
