Obituary of Michael George Cowan

We are greatly saddened at the passing of our beloved youngest brother, Michael. He was a wonderful child with bright eyes and a wide smile. While his life’s path didn’t lead him to great material success, it did lead him to a life of love and respect from all those who knew him. Growing up in Calgary and living in Bowness is where he loved to be. His heart giving out was the only thing that could take him away. Michael is survived by daughter, Michelle Banks; son, Michael Banks; and three grandchildren, Hayden, Ciara and Colton. Michael is also survived by three brothers, Bill Cowan (Sharon), Floyd Cowan (Farah) and Rex Cowan (Marion); one sister, Grace Martin (Stan) as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Cousin Jean saying he had the most beautiful voice. Michael is predeceased by his grandparents; parents, William and Norah; and brothers, Dan and Jack. At the request of the family there will be no public service.
