Obituary of Martin Santo Jermia

Martin Jermia beloved husband of Rosa Alphonse of Calgary, AB, passed away on March 8, 2021 at the age of 32 years. Martin was born in Khartoum, Sudan on August 21 1988. He immigrated to Canada from Egypt and arrived in Toronto on December 7 2006 and resided in Hamilton, Ontario. Martin was an active member of the South Sudanese Community in Hamilton and Calgary. He moved to Calgary in May of 2019 to join his wife Rose during the expectancy of their firstborn. Martin enjoyed spending his valuable time with his children, wife, and close friends, those are the moments he never took for granted. Martin’s proudest achievements were being a father to his four children, a loving son to his mother, and a committed husband to his wife. Martin’s hobby included playing sports such as soccer and basketball with his friends. During the summer, he enjoyed going to the beach and swimming in the lake. Martin enjoyed the small gathering with family members and close friends, playing the popular Sudanese board game Lido and socializing. Martin will be most remembered for his loving and genuine smile that touched our hearts and will be stuck in our memory. Martin is survived by his loving wife Rose Alphonse; his four children, Zacharia eleven from Hamilton, ON, Sam two from Calgary, AB, Jeremiah four months from Calgary, AB, and Loly twelve from Calgary, AB. Martin is also survived by his mother Rose Lasoba, his sister Lina and brother Emmanuel; as well as his nephews Tombe and Jacadi, nieces Gabriella and Jade who all reside in Hamilton, Ontario.
