Obituary of Lillian Pearl COOK
COOK – Lillian (Pearl)
January 16, 1929 – Medicine Hat
April 17, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lillian Pearl Cook (nee Thompson). She passed peacefully at home with family at her side. Pearl is survived by her daughters, Ellen (Ziebart), Eileen Cook and Nancy (Bird). She was predeceased by her eldest daughter Gail (Bird) in 1981. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mrs. Betty Mackenzie of Blairmore, AB, and Mrs. Shirley Wilson of Woodstock, ON.
Pearl was incredibly proud of her nine grandchildren, twenty-two great- grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Besides being an excellent cook, she was Head Baker at Mount Royal College, where she received the Distinguished Service Award in 1983. A wonderful storyteller, she often shared stories of her childhood with family and friends. She was a devoted mother and friend and will be dearly missed.
