Condolences
Dear Family, Joan was such a lovely lady. I drove her to Bible Study and other functions at the Saanich Peninsula Presbyterian Church in North Saanich. We had some great conversations. She was always so kind, gentle and good natured. It was wonderful to have spent time with her. May the many cherished memories of Joan bring you comfort. Janet Mitchell

My deepest condolences to Joan's family and friends. "Mrs.Larsen" taught me piano over 50 years ago and I will always remember her kindness and lovely smile. She instilled a love of music in me that I still carry today and I am so grateful to have known her.
A good life Joan! You gave and you blessed many. How lucky to be included in that group. A conversation just recently surfaced about Joan.... Joan, you would be so proud of Erin. We just spoke about you in the last month. You taught her piano for two years when she was in elementary school. She only played those two years but just recently she went out and bought a key board to get reacquainted with the music. She remembers "float your hands Erin". You just never know when those seeds will grow. She was such a committed member of the junior productions at the church! A love for music, youth and God. In this very big world I am so glad our paths crossed. Laurie 2.
Dear Karen, Donna, Chris, and Jeff Our sincere condolences to Joan's family. Your Mom was a lovely person and I will always remember her smile and her kindness. We have such wonderful memories that we will treasure forever. Memories, especially of our dinners together and of weekends in our trailers at Alberta lakes or meeting up in the B.C interior. Such fun times. Your family is very much in our thoughts. Hugs.
My condolences to all of Joans family. She was an amazing woman. I always enjoyed the conversations we had when she came to town. She made any room she walked into a brighter place.
We are sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. Even though she will be missed, we're sure she will not be forgotten. Take comfort in the fond memories of who she was - her kindness, her faith and her giving spirit.
Dear Donna all of Joan's family, We are so sorry for your loss. I remember you mother as a kind, interested and lovely lady. I know you will miss her greatly. What an amazing piano player - I remember her playing the piano and playing "Let me call you sweetheart." at your wedding. It was beautiful. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Sending big hugs.
Our condolences on the passing of Joan Larsen. She lived a life well lived and left a wonderful legacy.
Donna May you and the rest of your family find strength in all the wonderful memories of your mum and your time together The love of a mum is forever and she will always be looking down on you, so whenever you feel the need to reach out to her, just look up the heavens and she will right there looking back at you. Joan may be gone but in your hearts she will on forever Our love and prayers to you, Mike and the rest of the family Anwar & Nan
Our deepest condolences to Joan's family and friends. She played piano for the junior choir at our church when I was the director. Her assistance in putting on our annual Christmas musical play was invaluable and has left many warm memories with us and the kids who participated. She also accompanied us in recital, revelling in many, many rehearsals. We miss her.
