Obituary of Ansa Marie Schau

Ansa Schau beloved wife of Robert Nelson Quin of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the age of 72 years. Our lovely Ansa was born in Denmark and lived most of her life near the Bow River. She delighted in her career in wardrobe and design for screen and stage. An avid fly fisher, she loved hiking, skiing, fashion, travel, art and reading. She had a great joy for life, humour, and kindness. Throughout her life she believed in and advocated for the dignity of everyone. A much loved grandma, she will be held in the hearts of her grandchildren forever. Ansa was survived by her soulmate Bob Quin, son Zach Quin (Adrienne), granddaughters Elsa and Zoe, siblings Mikkel (Ann), and Coco (Toshi), as well as loving family and friends. She was predeceased by parents Paul and Hjordis Schau and sister Sys Richards. Ansa’s family would like to thank her health care team, Wellspring, and her wonderful caregivers at Home Care and Agape. In lieu of flowers, enjoy time in the mountains, rivers, and streams that she loved so deeply.
