Aimee Amos was called home by our Creator on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the age of 41 years.

 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, niece, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend.

 

Aimee was born on July 4th, 1981, she was the 6th generation of chief Jacob Bearspaw, she is the daughter of spiritual pipe holder and mentor to her beloved parents Dandy and Greta Amos, well known grandparents Dick and Julia Amos.

 

She grew up loving the Yethka traditional way of life and acknowledged everyone by kinship, a smile, and a hug. She will be lovingly remembered by her humour and contagious laugh, her willingness to help whoever needed it and made lots of friends and adopted family.

 

Aimee is survived by her children Brandy, Sonny, Brendalina (JC) Aimily, Anna, and Dyson; her siblings, Jolie, Ian (Lawanda) Laura (Murphy) , Joni (Eric),  Padget (Savina) and Eric, granddaughters Meilani and Fantana; her companion Marvin; adopted children Harveen, Braelyn, and Barry Jr; her special sister Lisa Powderface; adopted mother Adele Hunter; special neices and nephews Deldan (Faith) Crawler, Dre, Katie (Chavez), and Gracie (Mark); special grandson Benson Crawler; numerous nieces and nephews; her cousins Victoria, Evelina (Keon), Cornelia, Dacster (Latoya)Verna, Martina, Floyd, Betty, Arlene Paul, Nicholas, Marie, and Andrew Brice; her adopted brothers Chris (Tinena), Clifford (Josette), Frank (Tracy) Powderface, and Aaron Young. She is also survived by numerous relatives and extended families from Hunter, Bearspaw, Labelle , Goodstoney, Dixon, Poucette, Lefthand, Simeon, Amos, Twoyoungmen, Smalleyes, Weaslechild, Clarke, and  Powderface.

Aimee was predeceased by her parents Dandy and Greta Amos; son Bradcus Amos; brothers Gregory and Andre; and the father of her children Bradly Holloway; sisters, Florette Rabbit, Lorna, and Renee; and her grandparents Dick, Julia Amos, and Grace Hunter, and uncles Richard and Wilfred (Caroline Amos, niece & nephew Wilfred Jr. and Kengal).

 

Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Dandy & Greta Amos (Morley, AB) on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at the Bearspaw Youth Centre (Morley, AB) on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery (Morley, AB).  Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
