Obituary of Reginald Carl Hadley

HADLEY, Reginald Carl

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Reg Hadley of Calgary, AB on Tuesday, February 14. 2023 at the age of 77 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years Lil  Hadley, his two daughters, Wendi and Dayna, their spouses Jay and Doug; and former son-in-law Chris, and his grandchildren, Lauren, Austin, and Hope. He will also be dearly missed by extended family members and friends and many who knew him at Carnmoney Golf and Country Club.

He was married to the love of his life Lil for 57 years. He was adored and seen as a role model by his children, grandchildren and many others that knew him. He was an endless support system to anyone that was in need.  He could light up any room and had a special ability to make anyone feel safe and loved.

Reg was born in Westlock, AB where he lived until heading off to U of A where he also played hockey. After graduating with a BComm he had an extensive and successful career with IBM.  After retiring from IBM he worked at GE capital for a few years until he was ready to pursue his love and challenge of golf.

He was a member of Carnmoney Golf and Country Club where he had many friends and even a few holes in one. He was active and an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hiking, fishing, and hunting pheasants. Him and Lil loved spending time together in the Kananaskis cross country skiing.  Reg and Lil had a love of a lifetime and if he wasn’t on the golf course they could be found together.

A Celebration of Reg’s Life will be held at a later date. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the emergency responders for their care and compassion.
