Obituary of Marian Hansine Williams

Marian Williams (nee Tveit), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the age of 90 years.

Marian was predeceased by the love of her life, Dr. R.G. Williams, and her best friend and sister, Eileen Jewell. She is survived by her beloved brother-in-law, Art Jewell. She is also survived by Dr. Anna Williams and family; Robert G. Williams, Jacquie and family; and Raymond Kellough, Margot and family.

Marian was committed to her church. She and her late husband shared a profound love and support for the Calgary Opera. They were also committed supporters of the MEOW Foundation. Marian was a fiercely independent woman and had many interests. She belonged to and participated at the Calgary Golf and Country Club, The Glencoe Club and the Petroleum Club. She was affectionately loved and will be greatly missed by her extended family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, (66 - 7 Street NE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, April 22, 2:00 p.m. A private interment will follow.
