Obituary of Randy Z Calmusky
February 18, 1952 – Thorold, Ontario
February 16, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
Sadly, and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our fearless leader and father, Randy Z. Calmusky, on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the age of 70 years.
Born in Thorold, ON, on February 18, 1952, Randy was the middle child, three years younger than his late brother Dan, and inching out his younger twin brother Gary, by mere minutes. In 1971, Randy met the love of his life. After seven years of dating, and many golf swings later, Randy married his beautiful bride Theresa (nee O’Sullivan) in 1978. For the next 44 years, they remained inseparable. Randy graduated from Wilfred Laurier University in 1973, specializing in Business Administration and Economics. His career with Algoma Steel meant transfers between Toronto, Windsor, Sault Ste. Marie, and finally to Calgary, AB, in 1986 where he would reside for the remainder of his years.
Randy's extraordinarily quick wit, and sharp sense of humour, made him the life of any party! His charismatic charm made a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Besides his family, Randy’s true passion was golf. He was a member at both Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club, and Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club.
Randy is survived by his wife Theresa, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer (Derek) of Calgary, AB; two sons and daughter-in-law, Ryan (Lani), and Kyle of Calgary, AB; three grandchildren, Mia, Carson, and Kashton of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Randy was predeceased by his parents Henry (2016) and Mary (2014), and his brother Dan (2005).
Dad, we love you with all our hearts! While you will be deeply missed, you will never be forgotten.
Services will be held at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club (12501 14 St. SW, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Please join the family in celebrating the remarkable life of Randy Z. Calmusky. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
