Jason (Jay) Lagace, beloved son of Shelley and stepfather Bill Metzner, of Calgary, Alberta passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the age of 45 years.
Jay worked at a towing company and was very proud of the job he did there, as were we all. He has always been a very hard worker who loved the outdoors including camping, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. Jay had an amazing mind and huge ideas when it came to building his company, Emerald.
Jay is survived by his mom Shelley and stepfather Bill; sister Jordyn Lagace; his beloved boys, Carter, Nathan and Dylon Lagace which he was so proud of; and his fiancé, Victoria Goddie. Jay is also survived by his uncle Brad and aunt Debbie Champagne, aunt Michelle Champagne, uncle Keith Brady and his auntie Mary Jane (Jo) Brady with whom he shared a very special bond; cousins, Myles, Samantha, Kendra, Jaimee, Stephanie and Brittany; as well as his best friend Adam.
Jay was predeceased by his father Marcel Lagace, grandparents Jack and Faye Kerrison, great-grandparents Joshua and Fauna Dowey, his uncle Jeff Champagne, as well as his best buddy “Chubbs”.
The entire family has comfort in knowing that Jason has finally found peace.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, February 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (530 Seton Passage SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
