Obituary of Chad Matthew Stratychuk

It is with profound sadness and regret we must announce the passing of our beloved son, Chad Matthew Stratychuk, on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the age of 38 years.

Chad was born on September 18, 1984, in Calgary, Alberta, to Roseen Stratychuk and Matthew Vidican. Chad had one young son Gaige, who he loved and adored. Chad wanted nothing more than to be the perfect dad to his son.

Chad worked several jobs throughout his short life, which included glass work, painting, landscaping, and as a Heavy Equipment Operator. His greatest passion was when he could spend time with his son.

Left to treasure his memory is his seven-year-old son, Gaige Matthew Stratychuk, his mother Roseen Stratychuk Ross, his father Matthew Vidican, and stepmother Rosetta Stewart-Vidican, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

He was predeceased by his grandma Margaret Stratychuk, grandpa Andrew Stratychuk, grandma Joyce Doughty, and grandpa Donald Vidican.

Chad will always be remembered for his wonderful smile, sense of humor, and loads of charm. Chad is already missed by so many. Gone too soon.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

There will be a Celebration of Chad’s Life that he so deserves, with a date to be announced.
