It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend Ilse Dziadek.

Ilse passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Myron Thompson Health Center at 10:30pm. She was surrounded by her family. During her short stay in the hospital, she was able to see most of her beloved family. Family and friends were everything to Ilse.

Ilse was born in Idar Oberstein, GER, in 1934. She married the love or her life and subsequently immigrated to Canada. Ilse had four boys: Jerry, Frank JR, Ed (Loraine), and Mark (Kelly). The two of them created the dynasty that bloomed to a family of 64. Ilse was so very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She touched so many people, she always made you feel loved, that you were the only person in the room and that nothing else matter.

Ilse was a light that shone brightly, her love of God was magnified through her. Ilse is now rejoicing with her Lord and saviour. She has been reunited with the love of her life, and we can see her and Dad dancing effortlessly across the sky. She is happy and at peace, we are grateful for her life, and we are rejoicing in her death as she is now walking, dancing, and pain free.

She rarely had a cross word to say. She always looked for ways to solve problems, she guided her children and friends to see the good. Her heart was unselfish, always putting everyone else before herself. She always had a kind word to say. We always knew we were loved, and she told us every day. There was never any doubt in any of our hearts that we were loved beyond measure.

Ilse spent the last few years at the Mountainview Seniors Lodge in Sundre, she moved there after the passing of Frank. The staff and resident’s became part of Ilse’s extended family. She loved each of them and they in turn loved her. We were so blessed to have such an amazing community and facility in our lives.

We want to thank the amazing doctors, especially her long-time doctor and friend Dr. Ward and nurses of the Myron Thompson Health Centre. The care and compassion for her and our family was outstanding. The journey was a hard one, and they made it so much easier.

Ilse is joining her heavenly family, husband Frank, Tante Tilly, Oncle Fritz, son Jerry, as well as her family from Germany. We are comforted in the knowledge that this isn’t goodbye but “until we meet again”. So, Ilse our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend……. Until we meet again!! Love you beyond measure.

There will be a private celebration of life, as per Ilse’s wishes, at a later date.

In living memory of Ilse, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, AB T4B 3L8, Telephone: 403-948-1100.
