Our deepest condolences on the passing of your dear wife, mom, grandmother and friend. Pat will always hold a special place in our hearts. Her smile lit up a room and her hugs were the best. We have many fond memories of our own of Pat, and her celebration of life was absolutely beautiful. We were so sorry we couldn’t be there in person. She was such a fun, compassionate, wonderful lady and we have missed her immensely. Peace be with you Pat❤️❤️

A beautiful service for a beautiful person and life as Michelle said. She will be missed by so many of us. She would be so proud of her amazing family today. Keeping you All in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. Maureen and Mark Secord
Martin ..... sincere condolences to you, Michelle, and Robert on Pat's passing.
It was such a pleasure to have known her.
I remember one day Pat phoned me and asked "do you have a sermon in you Tim?" as we sat together on the Red Deer Lake United Church Board. That certainly provided food for thought .... everyone has a sermon in them if they dig deep enough!
Board Members were responsible for services when the Minister (Hart) was on holidays.
Pat was such a wonderful organizer and "people" person .... she will be greatly missed.
Our prayers are with you.

Martin and family,
Our sincere condolences to all of you as you bid farewell to a very special wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Pat was such a beautiful soul and we were pleased to have met her at Red Deer Lake United Church where her leadership skills, kindness and gentle spirit were appreciated by those fortunate enough to meet her. Pat made a real difference in the lives of many and she will truly be missed. May peace be with Pat and all of you!

Pat was a delightful part of our Thursday morning FLC Seniors yoga group. She touched all our lives with her kind character and upbeat personality. We have missed her in the recent years, and have thought of her often. I didn't know her outside of our class setting, but I do recall her quick wit, and how she would light up when speaking about her family. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all those she loved. - Peggy Maslen
We have so many vivid memories of Pat. She was such a vibrant and energetic soul! Most often - when there were events at the church - Pat was central to the planning and to the success of it. There are an abundance of delightful memories. These memories extend beyond life at the church to the visits we enjoyed with Pat, Martin, Eileen and Jim over wine and great conversation at our home in Naramata, BC when they made their annual fall trips to the Okanagan.
We send our love & blessings to Pat's wonderful family as they journey through these coming days and beyond. We will be with you all in spirit at Pat's 'Celebration Of Life' tomorrow.
Blessings, Always,
Sandy, Diane & Matt Monteith-Forsty
What a truly beautiful soul! We had the supreme good fortune to have crossed paths with Pat & Martin onboard a cruise through the Panama Canal in 2013. We basked in their good humor, kind natures and delightful stories. Pat was so thoughtful and easy to be around - we just instantly fell in love with her! And to put up with us “waifs” when we drove up from Colorado later that summer, taking us into her home, feeding & entertaining us, and even showing us their beloved cabin in Canmore - well, she & Martin just endeared themselves to us forever. We will miss her sweet smile and good nature, yet are comforted to know she is no longer suffering and is at peace. Our love goes out to you, Martin, and your family.

Died Feb 23, 2023. McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home. Service, Saturday, March 4.
We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to know Pat and to have been met by her kind and welcoming spirit. She embraced us as new friends and invited us into your home. We had done nothing to deserve her warmth and openness and generosity. But there it was, laid before us. What an honor!
We treasure our memories of Pat. We treasure the gift of poetry. We raise a large glass in a toast to her life. “Well lived, Pat, well lived!”
Hugs and love to you, Martin,
The Golden Girls, Tina and Susan

Pat’s obituary sums up the life of this amazing woman with her kindness, welcoming smile and sense of humour. Always greeting newcomers to the church, which we personally experienced many years ago, and always volunteering where needed. Our thoughts and prayers are now with Martin, Michelle, Doug, Rob, Eileen and their families. Thanks for sharing Pat with us.

So sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. She always had such a beautiful warm smile and, as you say, an infectious laugh. It was a privilege and a pleasure to be part of your family. Love to you all. Xx
Our sincerest condolences to all of Pat's family and extended family on the loss of a truly fine lady and dear friend. We have been fellow congregants of Martin and Pat for many years at Red Deer Lake United Church. Pat and I once acted in a church play together and were 'sisters'. We felt almost like true sisters ever after. Pat and I taught courses together at the church on such topics as how to achieve happiness and how to give life purpose. If there was ever a lady who led a meaningful and purposeful life, it was Pat! Andy and I are better people for having known her. Rest in peace, dear 'sister' and rise in glory!
