Pauline, her twin Brian, and younger brother Robert blessed to Florence Sarah Aubrey grew up in Dagenham, Essex. UK. Pauline’s first job was in an office in London.

In 1962 Pauline went on holiday to Yarmouth with her lifelong friend Brenda. Little did she know her life was to change forever. While strolling down the street she met the love of her life Albert. Pauline and Albert would take it in turns to travel by train and tube to see each other on weekends.

On March 14th, 1964, Pauline and Albert were married in London, UK and moved to Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Stephen their first son was born February 17th, 1965, and their second son Mark followed on May 4th, 1967. Pauline became a wonderful cook and baker.

Pauline put her cooking skills to work as a dinner lady at The Ryde School. She loved this job and was very popular with the children and staff. She moved onto the Comet Hotel kitchen for many years working split shifts. She then got a job in the local Police station where she worked as a cleaner until retirement. She used to come home with some real funny stories.

Pauline and Albert had a holiday home in Clacton on Sea where they enjoyed their weekends. Later they loved to go away in their caravan and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Pauline and Albert immigrated to Calgary, Canada in 2008, to be close to their son Mark and Grandson Nicholas. Pauline loved sitting in the garden in the summer but hated the snow and cold. Pauline loved her house and was reluctant to leave in March 2021 to move into Holy Cross Manor due to Health issues.

Pauline quickly became popular with the staff and other residents. They loved her accent and sayings like Bugger off or sod off leave me alone.

Although she will be missed dearly, we rejoice in the abundance of wonderful memories we have been blessed with.
