Obituary of Murray George Watters

December 28, 1943 - March 1, 2023

Murray Watters, beloved husband of Jean Watters, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the age of 79 years. He was born in Calgary, AB on December 28, 1943, and married Jean in 1968. Murray graduated with a SAIT Chemical Technology Diploma and was employed by Westco Fertilizer for over 35 years.  He was a passionate skier for most of his life and enjoyed the great outdoors immensely. Vacation time was important to Murray and his family. In later years, Murray and Jean travelled to many destinations around the world.

Murray will be remembered for his sense of humour and joking manner. Though there were lots of Dad jokes in the mix, it often brought a smile to those in the room.

In addition to his loving wife, Murray is survived by his sons, Adrian and Todd Watters; daughters-in-law, Carie Lee and Chris Watters; grandchildren, Jayce, Quinten and Kaelan Watters; brother-in-law George Irwin; and nieces, Brandi Jenkins and Kylene Price who reside in Phoenix, Arizona. Murray was predeceased by his sister Arlene Watters.

A private service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
