Obituary of Gladys Mary Robinson

Gladys Robinson of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the age of 98 years.

Gladys was born in Montreal, QC on June 27, 1924, and joined Royal Insurance, where she remained until her retirement.

At the age of 80, Gladys relocated to Calgary to be closer to her family. She cherished travelling throughout her life, visiting destinations including Europe, Venezuela, Hawaii, Barbados, and every province in Canada. She enjoyed social gatherings and entertaining, and she also frequently spent the winters in Florida. She had a long and fulfilled life.

She was always happy to contribute and lend her accounting expertise to her Legion and organizations, as well as donating to many charities.

Gladys was predeceased by her ex-husband Walter Robinson, her loving partner George Benn and her dear brother Harold. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Arlene Williams (John); and her grandchildren, Julie Walker (Paul) and Jeff Williams (Sasha); as well as her three great-grandchildren, Jack, Milena and Anastacia. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nephew Brent (Stella) and her nieces, Gail (Jim) and Janice.

In living memory of Gladys Robinson, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area.
