Obituary of Charlene Marie Doore

Charlene Marie Doore passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the Peter Lougheed Centre at the age of 63 years old. She was born at the Siksika Hospital on March 27, 1959, and resided in the Siksika Nation. Charlene lived her entire life with heartfelt devotion to her children and grandchildren. She was a kind, gentle, caring, and beautiful woman surrounded by the people she loved. She always had a nice big smile that would light up a room. Her soft, caring, and soothing voice made it a pleasure to have a conversation with her. She enjoyed her Motown music and family get-togethers.
Charlene leaves behind her precious children, Crystal Doore and Lance (Ngatai) Doore; her precious grandchildren, Denzel, Samuel, Mana, and Baby Saint; brothers, Michael Right Hand, Merlon (Stacey), Keon (Erica), and Lee Eagle Rib; sisters, Janice Doore, Pammie Rabbit Carrier, Toni Good Eagle, and Stella Wolf Child, and sister-in-law Erica Many Heads. She also leaves behind her uncles, Gordon Big Snake and Bernard St. Goddard; and aunties, Donna Jean Raw Eater, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Leslie, and Justine Stimson. She cherished her nieces and nephews as her own. Charlene also leaves behind her special friends, Shirley Spring Chief, Shirley Yellow Fly, and Myra Dionne (Stimson) and special cousins Kenneth Doore and Roanne Axe.
Charlene also leaves behind the following extended family relatives, Doore, Big Snake, Breaker, Stimson, Axe, Weasel Child, Crane, Three Suns, Raw Eater, Brass, Running Rabbit, Yellow Old Woman, Medicine Shield, Crane Bear, St. Goddard, Rides at the Door, Long Time Sleeping, Stone, Back Fat, Bull Bear, and Drunken Chief.
Charlene was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Ruby Doore, sister Lorretta, brother Karl, her grandchildren Mase and Nakai; and niece Tara Standing Alone.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Merlon Doore (Siksika Nation, AB) on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Box 204, Cluny AB) on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 12:00 pm. Graveside Services to follow at the Crowfoot Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB). Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
