Obituary of Margaret Beer
August 28, 1949 - Portage la Prairie, Manitoba
March 5, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
Margaret Jean Beer, predeceased by the love of her life Christopher Beer; mother and mother-in-law to Jenn (Sal) and Matt (Ange); grandmother extraordinaire to Izzie, Emily, Jacob, Cam, and Nate; sister to Bob Walker, Gerry Lewis, Ted Walker, Murray Walker, and Dennis Walker; aunt to many, friend to all, sadly passed away at the age of 73 on Sunday, March 5, 2023.
Grandma, we will remember sitting on the patio with juice boxes (Izzie); your peanut butter and jam sandwiches, of course, with the crusts cut off (Emily); baking cookies (Jacob); playing pool (Cam); and sleepovers (Nate).
Mom loved her family and her friends very much. Her daily walks, gardening, puzzles, baking, and trips to warm places put a smile on her face. Everyone who knew Margaret will remember her love, her laughs, and her effervescence.
While the last years were difficult, our family would like to thank The Journey Club (staff and residents) for loving her. We knew she was well taken care of. Thank you!
Mom and grandma, we are so happy you were able to be reunited with the love of your life. When we meet again, we expect hugs, deep discussions, big smiles and long walks!
