Condolences
My sincerest condolences to the Perkins family. I knew Mr Perkins from CWA and he was a very kind soul. May he rest in God’s peace. I offered two Masses for him with the Norbertines in California.

Sandra, Michelle and Ada - we are so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Dave at CWA driving the bus, coaching soccer and helping the crossing guards. My kids always loved it when Mr. Perkins was there to help. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
To Sandra, Michelle and Ada, We are so very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. It is heartbreaking - such a tremendous loss of a fine man. Dave was such a positive generous soul. I will always remember him at the school driving the bus for the field trips, helping out with the pedestrian crossings. He always had a smile. Dave's generous heart and his love for his wife, his girls and his community were always on full display and his pragmatic approach and good humour were a breath of fresh air. Please accept our sincere condolences. We have no doubt that God has welcomed Dave with loving arms and said, "Well done my good and faithful servant".

My sincere condolences to Sandra, Michelle, and Ada. I remember Dave as a supportive dad who was always willing to volunteer to help in the classroom and on field trips. You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers. God bless, Lisa Page
I pass on my sincere condolences to Dave’s family. How sad to see such a good man pass way too early. I was partners with Dave for many months back in the early days of 4 District. He was always a positive spirit and an absolute delight to work with. Just a solid down to earth likeable guy. The news of his passing really struck home to me as it seems like just yesterday we were young guys sharing the front seat of a patrol car together.
My sincere condolences to Sandra, Michelle and Ada Perkins. I last met Dave when we were both being driven to the local car dealership to pick up our respective vehicles after a service appointment. The courtesy driver was also a retired police officer, and of course the conversation was all 'war stories' about our work with the Calgary Police Service. I had played soccer with Dave on the police team, and he was a masterful 'goalie', saving shots that seemed impossible. Tall, thin and very agile, he made us aging fogeys look pathetic. We had some things in common as Dave told me about the family move to B.C. after retirement, the same as my wife and I had done, then the move back to Calgary the same as us. He didn't talk about all the volunteering he had done at Clearwater Academy, and I think my wife had retired from there before Dave was generously helping all the children at a fantastic school. Rest in Peace Dave. Bill Fayers, Calgary
Dear Sandra, Michelle, and Ada,
You are all in my family’s prayers daily ever since we heard he was battling cancer. We are so sorry for your loss and want to send you huge hugs and support.
We were so blessed to have him at Clear Water Academy. From managing the patrollers, to driving the school bus, to coaching the soccer team…. in endless ways he served students and was truly a colleague to us staff. His positive spirit, proposing solutions if he saw anything that could improve, joyful eyes and purity of heart that saw the truth and goodness in every situation… what a blessing to see his witness and work alongside him.
It’s unfortunate he had to go on to eternal life so quickly. We unite to your pain, and in faith we know that our Good God has a plan to be able to enable him to do even more good from heaven. May the angels and saints accompany him to get there speedily and then spread an abundance of graces here on earth.
I plan to make it to the funeral , and in the meantime we continue to send you all our love and care. Let us know if there’s anything we can do.

Sandra, our deepest sympathy and heart-felt condolences on the passing of Dave. I had the privilege of working and golfing with Dave at Valley Ridge, always enjoyed his company. He was caring, compassionate, open-minded, friendly, and a decent man. May his soul rest in peace, and may God give you, Michelle and Ada the strength to bear his loss. He will be dearly missed. With regards,
Karam and Manjit Kaloti
Dave was one of the first officers I met while working in District 1 back in 1998. Although we never worked together he had pride and compassion in his work. He was a quiet man but his eyes spoke volumes. I will always remember his willingness to help new members. A policemans policeman. RIP Brother
Our deepest condolences on the passing of Dave. May you and your family find peace in the memory of a very good man. May he Rest In Peace in the Arms of Our Lord for Eternity.

Our hearts are heavy but we will continue to lift your family up in prayer. Love Sean, Theresa, Lucy, Pippa and Francie Maxwell
Dear Sandra and Family,
I was so very saddened to read of Dave's recent passing. I had the opportunity and privilege of working with Dave so many years ago. We often shared more than a few good laughs, such moments were always valued, brightening up what police work could occasionally render to be a rather sad gray day.
Although partners for a relatively short time, I remember Dave as a dedicated police officer and one who approached everyone we dealt with in a friendly, positive, and caring manner. Dave was a decent, caring man and valued as a friend by all those who served with him. Men of his caliber shall always be missed.
Our most sincere condolences,
Stephen and Wanda Kirk
Please except my sincere condolences to your loss.
Dave was a very nice guy and a joy to work beside.
Dave and I played hockey together as teammates and as opponents. He was a real competitor.
He really was one of the good guys.
Gone way too soon.
God’s speed my brother.

> > We are absolutely shocked and saddened to hear of Dave’s passing at such a young age. Dave was a special person in my eyes just in the down to earth manner he interacted with others. We also really appreciated having you folks as neighbors remembering your friendly waves as you passed by our house.

Hi Sandra,
I was very sad and surprised to hear of Dave’s passing. Dave was my officer coach and was truly the one who taught me how to be a Policeman and a Detective. I just wanted to reach out and say how sorry and sad I am to hear this news and to send you and the girls a hug and support right now.
Take Care Sandra,
Grant Miller
Dear Sandra and family, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of David Perkins.
> I knew Dave well from my 4 District days back in the early 80s, from 82 to 84. We where friends, but I didn't work with Dave as a partner.
>
> Dave was a very hard working and great police officer. He backed me and other police officers on many many calls. He was always there when he was needed and busy doing his job. He was well liked by everyone and Dave had no enemies. He treated everyone with respect and always followed through. He was a gentle soul and always had good advice. Dave was a very good and kind person and cared about his fellow officers and the citizens of Calgary.
>
> I will miss my friend, but I know he is with the Angels now and God. I know I will see him again in heaven, because that's where he'll be. He will be sitting at the side of God and be one of God's protectors. There is a special place in heaven for police officers and Dave will be there, serving God.
>
> Dear Lord, please take out brother Dave and keep him safe by your side. Let him rest awhile before he works to serve you, he had a long and hard journey here on earth serving you, the people and his family. Please help Dave's family through this hard time and give them strength as they try to understand why their son, brother, father and friend is gone. Please help us all know and understand that our time on earth is short and in the afterlife we will live forever in glory and great happiness. We will have no pain, no enemies and no war. We will all live in peace through the glory and greatness of our Lord.
> Through Jesus name,
> Amen.

Sandra,
My sincere condolences for Dave's passing, he was such a positive guy with a smile on his face, even when he had let in an easy goal. We played alongside each other for many years with the Police soccer team and his demeanor was always upbeat, as was his work with the Police Service. Unfortunately we didn't work together but when I was President of the Association we met occasionally and spoke about the state of the Department and what we should do to make it right, he always had some good ideas.
I'm currently in Arizona for the winter so will not be able to make it to the Funeral, please pass along my thoughts to your family.
It is with a heavy heart Sandra that I pass on my condolences to you and your family in the passing of a wonderful man and officer.
I had the pleasure of working with Dave on the Force. He had a smile that was infectious and was always happy.
Taken at such a young age he will be sorely missed.
Rest easy Dave
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family at this time of great loss.
