Obituary of David John Murphy

David Murphy, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

David was born in Fakenham, England on April 28, 1936 and immigrated to Canada in 1960. In 1961, David married Katharine (nee McCraw). David graduated from McGill University with a degree in Geology in 1966, and settled in Calgary, AB, in 1966. David accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his family. He will be most remembered for his kindness.

He is survived by his wife Katharine (Kate); daughter Susan Miller (nee Murphy) and son-in-law Alan; son Andrew and daughter-in-law Laura (nee Cestero); and granddaughters, Amber, Ana, and Katie and grandson Ross.

David is also survived by his only brother, Maurice and sister-in-law Dorothy of, England.
