Clarence Kraft, beloved husband of Heather Kraft (nee Dingwall), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the age of 91 years.
Clarence was born in McFarland, CA, USA, on December 5, 1931. Clarence married Heather in 1961, and together they moved to Calgary, AB, in 1974.
He joined the United States Marine Corp and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine, and volunteered with the Shrine Clown Unit. Clarence enjoyed travel including cruises, RVing and tours. He also enjoyed clowning and doing leather work. Clarence will be most remembered for his leather work on saddles and Fez boxes.
Besides his loving wife Heather, Clarence is survived by his daughter Greta, and sons Chris and Darryl; daughter-in-law Connie, and grandchildren, Aaron, Nicole, and Michael; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Clarence was predeceased by his parents, Frances and Henry, his sisters, Marge and Irene; and his brothers, Ed, Irwin, Vernon, and Donald.
A Celebration of Clarence’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
