Obituary of Dickson Gordon Cameron

May 15,1964

Dickson Cameron died suddenly at his home in Calgary, Alberta on March 21, 2023 at the age of 58 years. He was the youngest of John and Elsie Cameron’s four children.

As a boy growing up in Regina, Dickson had a fascination with fire trucks, hoses, sprinklers, anywhere he could find water. This would later become his career, installing precision irrigation systems, first with his partner Tony and later with his own company. He was a very hard worker and also enjoyed the fruits of his labor.

Dickson also enjoyed working with cars. He constantly tinkered on his Chevy Nova with a blueprinted engine and was very proud of it. He was also proud of the tomatoes that he would nurture each year in the garden of his parents Lake Bonavista home.

Dickson is survived by his sister Janice Wright (Peter), niece Janay, his brothers, John (Sherel) of Toronto and James (Janine) of Calgary, and many cousins and other relatives in Redwater, Alberta area and Nova Scotia.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
