Obituary of Luigi Ardolino
December 3, 1940 - Marigliano, Napoli, Italy
March 22, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Luigi Ardolino on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the age of 82. Luigi was born in Marigliano, Napoli, Italy and immigrated to Calgary, AB in June 1966, to be with Filomena Ardolino (nee Esposito), who he then married on September 3, 1966. Luigi spent 38 years working for Consolidated Concrete Pipes and Inland Pipes. He retired in 2002 to share in the duties of caring for his grandchildren, something that brought him great joy. Luigi loved his garden and helping others with theirs. He shared his escarole and tomatoes with friends and family. Luigi is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Giuseppe (Joe) and Tammy; grandchildren, Lucus and Kaylie; sisters, Vincenza (Salvatore), Giuseppina, Maria (Raffaele) of Italy, Anna (Domenico) of Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews. Luigi is predeceased by the love of his life, Filomena Ardolino; brothers, Vincenzo and Felice of Italy, sister, Rosetta of Italy; and brother-in-law Pasquale LaMontagna.
