Obituary of Ted Michael Janzen

October 16, 1952 – Trail, British Columbia

March 24, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Ted Michael Janzen, age 70, of Calgary Alberta, passed away peacefully into eternal glory on Friday, March 24, 2023, several years after suffering a debilitating stroke. He resided at Bowcrest Care Home at the time of his passing where he received excellent care, for which his family are most grateful.

Ted was born in Trail BC, October 16, 1952, but grew up in Calgary, a city he loved and never left. Ted had a passion for cars and cows, both of which were central in his life.  Gospel music was always in his heart.

Ted leaves his four sons, who he was very proud of, Michael, Jeremy, Christopher, and Joshua (Michelle). He is also survived by his siblings Wendy Ekstrom (Don), Maggie Harker (Neil), and Clarence Janzen (Alayne), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his parents George and Gay Janzen.

Ted will be dearly missed and always remembered.

A Celebration of Ted’s Life and open house will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel, Barlow Room, (2620 32nd Avenue NE, Calgary, AB) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
