Obituary of Susan Carol Munro

Susan Munro (nee Parker) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the age of 74 years after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Vulcan, AB and moved to Calgary, AB, when she was 6 years old.

She worked for the Calgary Board of Education as a librarian assistant for many years. Susan retired at the end of 2020 from Dr. JK Mulloy elementary school. She had previously worked at Tuxedo Park elementary and King Edward elementary/jr. high. Susan also worked for Costco for over ten years.

Susan is survived by her two daughters and one son-in-law, Amy Munro, Holly Munro and her partner Jason Wilson, both of Calgary, AB; five grandchildren, Hope, Nigel, Cy, Tate and Niko; and her three great-grandchildren, Theo, Levi and Ezra. She is also survived by her three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dianne Klix, Shelley and Dennis Novlesky, and Laura and Greg Novlesky, all of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Susan was predeceased by her parents Donn and Doris Parker.

A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held at the Lake Chaparral Residence Association (225 Chaparral Drive SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
