Obituary of Maybelle Lillian Nauffts

April 23, 1934 - Guysborough County, Nova Scotia

March 27, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Maybelle (May) Nauffts (nee Ferguson), beloved wife of Donald Nauffts, of Calgary, AB,  passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the age of 88 years.

May was born in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia on April 23, 1934. She moved to Alberta in 1980, living in both Nanton and Calgary.

May and Don were married in Waverley Nova Scotia on March 27^th, 1963.

May was a long-standing member of Central United Church in Calgary and volunteered for many years in the Sunday school. May accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her faith, her husband Don, and her extended family. She will be most remembered for her service to the church, her devotion to family, and for being such a fun, friendly, and supportive neighbour.

May is survived by her husband of sixty years, Donald Nauffts; her sister Helen Lutz of Surrey B.C.; forty-two nieces and nephews, and numerous friends spread across Canada.

May was predeceased by four brothers, Tom, Grant, Charley, and George; and four sisters Margaret, Christina, Esther, and Grace.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
