Obituary of Louis Alphonso Turner

December 7, 1947 – Kingston, Jamaica

March 31, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Louis Turner share the news of his passing at the age of 75 years. 

Louis leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Joy; his sister Faye (Ivory) Brunson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his daughters Tanya (Craig) Bedard and Debbie (Tyler) Belgrave; his grandchildren Maya, Zarra, India, and Grace; as well as many nieces and nephews. Louis was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Joyce Turner in Jamaica.

Very special thanks go to the staff at Brentwood Care Centre for the comfort and care they provided.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot Chapel, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB T3G 2T3) on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Bow Valley Christian Church (5300 – 53rd Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Turner’s service streamed live at https://youtube.com/live/qn0ImDL35zM?feature=share on the day of the service. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

 In lieu of flowers and if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
