Spencer Cole of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the age of 28 years.

Spencer was born in Calgary, AB, on September 14, 1994, and graduated from the Bishop O’Byrne High School in 2012.

He accomplished much through his short life and was particularly proud of the work that he’s done and the relationships he made.  He had many jobs, but his favourite was being a railroad man with CP Rail.  He loved to learn and was a natural leader in any position he held.

Spencer was quite the sport enthusiast. His passion was fly fishing which he took very seriously. He was happiest when he had the time to head down to the Bow River to spend a few hours with nature. 

When he wasn’t on the river, you could find Spencer at the golf course or playing softball.  He loved to be with friends and family.

He will be most remembered for his great outlook on life.  He never hesitated to help anyone or lend a hand when needed.

Spencer is survived by his parents, Brian and Marlene Cole of Calgary, his brother Chad of Victoria, his twin sister Miranda also of Calgary.

He is also survived by his Nana - Shirley Cole from Ebenezer SK, and his grandparents Larry & Marie Smith from Lethbridge, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and so so many friends.

Spencer was predeceased by his grandpa Donnie.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, April 8th, 2023, at 2:00PM.  Reception to follow at Windsor Rose in Walden (151 Walden Gate S.E, Calgary, AB T2X 0R2). Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Cole’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
