Obituary of Julianne Smith

It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of Julianne Smith (nee Noble). Born in Calgary on January 7, 1947, Julianne passed away at the Peter Lougheed Center on April 2, 2023, at the age of 76 years old.

She was predeceased by her mother Jessie Noble and father George Noble. Julianne is survived by her sister Florence (Jennifer and Richard), her oldest son James (Debbie), her daughter Pam (Sean), and her youngest son Greg. Nana was also loved by her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Julianne was raised in Calgary and attended St. Francis High School. She graduated and went on to work in administration in the medical field for many years, before changing paths and taking her skills to work for several non-profit organizations. Mom enjoyed reading and had a passion for crosswords; she was tenacious with the hardest of puzzles. She had a great sense of humor and could be counted on to offer an opinion, whether you needed it or not.

Mom was a caring, loving person who touched many peoples’ lives. She will be missed!

We would also like to thank all the great staff at the Peter Lougheed Center that made the difficult time at the hospital just a little better. A special acknowledgement to the nurses in the ICU. Your compassion and understanding during this time will not be forgotten.
