Keith Hudson

Obituary of Keith Edward Hudson

February 28, 1943 – Alkborough, England

April 6, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness the family of Keith Edward Hudson announces his peaceful passing on Thursday, April 6, 2023. A proud son of Alkborough, Lincolnshire, England, Keith was predeceased by his parents, James and Maude Hudson, brothers Raymond and Reginald, and sister Shirley.

A move from ‘up north’ to just outside London, England, in the late ‘60s led to him meeting the love of his life, Rosemary. And moving on after an early stint in policing and chasing his dream of singing for a living, the newlyweds and two young boys moved to Canada in 1970 in search of a brighter future.

Keith, who later worked in a number of industries including insurance, financial planning, real estate, and his own interior decorating store, Keith Hudson Interiors, is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rosemary, sons Nicholas (Linda) and Martin (Valerie), and daughter Victoria (Paul). He was particularly proud of his grandkids, Elliot, Denis (Ashley), Taylor (Troy), Eric (Nicole), Andrew (Jena), Hudson, Hannah, Connor, Holly, Cooper, Molly, and Rory. He was also tickled pink to meet his great-grandkids, Harper, Tommy, and Hadley.

The Hudson family would like to thank staff at each of the city hospitals for their tireless efforts. The Rosedale Hospice will always hold a special place in our hearts for their amazing care of our family patriarch and we thank them for making his last days as comfortable as they could be.

Acting on Keith’s wishes, the family will be holding a small private farewell. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please consider a donation to Rosedale Hospice.

In living memory of Keith Hudson, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB T3G 2T3, Telephone: 403-241-0044.
