Dr. Johns. You’re so missed. There is no other like you. You sure showed true compassion and care. Sure miss you. Thank you for everything you did for me.

I just found out about Dan's passing and am shocked and so very sad. Dan and I were good buddies through high-school and beyond. While the later years brought us in touch less often, we would share the same laughs and good times no matter how many years went by. The world is a bit dimmer without him in it. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Dan was a very good man and will be very dearly missed.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. John's passing today. I saw Dr. Dan a few times and will always remember how kind and gentle he was. Always very reassuring. Merrills and my heart goes out to the entire Johns family. Sister Kathy is our Dr for who we are grateful for everyday. Please accept our late but heartfelt condolences.

I am so sad for missing him, my family doctor for more than five years. I will always remember him as a great, wonderful, kind, and caring person.

Dr. Daniel Johns was our family physician for more than 10 years. He was a kind, knowledgeable, considerate, and amicable man with a high social & emotional intelligence. As an athlete, he always had good advice on sports related injuries. I admired his social intelligence and used to squeeze a few mins during my visits to extract his wisdom on life and raising a family, which he was always generous to share. One of his quotes was " it's easy to teach kids how to solve a problem, but not so easy to teach them how to persevere". He was a positive energy in our community and will be greatly missed.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Dr Johns' passing. He was a kind and wonderful person. Dear Dr Johns, you will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace.

So shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Dr John's. Our entire family were under his care and we will miss him. Our son started to go to him when he was 7 right up until his last appointment with him when he was 16. Dr John's was amazing with children and adults alike, Rest in Peace

I am so deeply saddened to hear of this news. I know what it’s like to lose an adored father too young and my heart aches for such a loss to the family and friends.. also to those of us who were patients of Dr Johns. I always appreciated how humble and down to earth he was. When I had issues with my tennis elbow he was always excellent to talk about lifestyle, diet and stress. You could have a terrific conversation with him and never feel like he was in a rush. He was always so punctual for his visits and if ever late, so apologetic. Dr Johns was a world class doctor and health facilitator. In his short life he helped thousands. I send my sincere sympathies to all of those/us who feel his loss from close to afar. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Johns saved my life, he saw me at my worst and showed kindness and compassion that gave me the courage to navigate some of my darkest days. He cared, he was a friend, and a great physician. I only ever knew him as my Doctor so my heart goes out to those who knew him as a Father, Husband, Brother and Son. Dan, Daniel like I would occasionally call you to tease you. You would call me Taniel in return haha! I am deeply saddened by this news as I knew eventually I was coming up to Calgary and would catch up with you in town. My sincere condolences to Dr. Dan's family. I remember that whenever he mentioned his daughter how his eyes would light up and his face would fill with joy. I have never had such a compassionate, caring, encouraging and helpful doctor as Dr. Dan. When I needed more time, he gave it to me. He honestly saved my life and turned my health around 180 degrees. He set me on the right path. I was so looking forward to sharing my health successes with him because I knew that he would sincerely celebrate those achievements with me - he was that caring. He was "companioning me" on my journey to good health. I do not know where I would have been health-wise without him. He also modelled for me what healthy living looked like. May God bless and reward him for all the good he did in his life. I will keep his obituary in my prayer book and will pray regularly for him. He was a special doctor and person. He will be sorely missed by so many.

My wife and extended family were sad and shocked to hear the passing of Dr. Johns. He was a very caring man that I know cared for his family and patients. Dan was a sweet, kind, patient man. He was a friend, a colleague, my push-up challenge buddy, my Clyde. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his family and all who loved him.
