Condolences
Sonya was such a generous person. When I was a teenager, my family immigrated to Canada and arrived in Calgary. Sonya welcomed us in her home and she was like family to us. I will never forget her kindness. She remained an important part of our lives and never missed a special occasion - birthdays, weddings, Christmases. Sonya was always there with her big, radiant smile. She brought a warm happy energy with her everywhere she went. She genuinely cared about people and helped so many in the community.
We will miss you dear friend, your warm smile will always be with us.
Love, Sonya T
I will miss Sonya dearly. I will always remember her “Servus!” when she greeted us, her laughter and her big heart. We loved her visits, especially when the kids were little. She always brought her trademark trubičky and her silliness came out when she played with them. I will always cherish those precious memories.
With love,
Sylvia
You were one of a kind person Sonya. Always smiling, always telling stories, always taking care of others. We will all remember you for your unparalleled goodwill and affection for others. You made our stay in Calgary unforgettable experience and we´re so fortunate to have met you, stayed in touch and shared our life paths with you.
We will never forget you, we love you.
Let´s all raise a glass of Chianti for our dear friend Sonya Peltzner!

In memory of my dear friend Soňa:
Since I moved to Vancouver Island a few years ago, my contact with Soňa was only online via messenger, since we both suffered from hearing loss.
I saw her last year and we went out together with Eva for Chinese food. They were both sitting at the table when I arrived and Soňa was already holding the hand of our waitress, they were laughing and talking as old friends. This was Soňa with her big heart - it was easy for her to talk to a stranger, and soon she would know her or his whole life story. She knew lots of people and they found comfort in talking to her. Soňa was always very generous.
Our parents were best friends and my mother was Soňa's godmother. I knew her since my childhood and as she was two years older, I always looked up to her. As children, my sister and I had a puppy from their family dog, it was our beloved dog Vojka. Soňa was great with small children and her life was devoted to them, they were so drawn to her warm personality and loved her very dearly.
Our personal lives were always intertwined. My grandchildren called her ”Soňa Peltzner” to distinguish her from my daughter Sonya. They were always excited when she was visiting, and she always brought them something. We always got trubičky for Christmas and it just wouldn’t be Christmas without it!
I feel big emptiness in my heart and a deep sadness, I cannot share my pain with Soňa’s mum, dad and brother, but my consolation is, that she is already with all of them and also with Anthony.
So bye for now, Soňa I will meet you there.
love,
Valeria
