Condolences
David and I have been friends since the 1940's in Regina where my Dad was Rector of St Mary's church and Padre to HMCS Queen. We two Davids enjoyed a lifetime friendship - mutual interests especially hockey, prairie history and political analysis.
A sad yet loving connection bonded us deeply through the tragic death of 2 of their grandchildren-I visit their graves often and would phone David from that site in Hillside, Medicine Hat especially when my eldest daughter died. Bridges of that rarity- allowed us both into our mutual depth of linking soul to soul.
Two days ago I read the burial service here in historic St Margaret's church in the historic Cypress Hills AB, not far from the original log NWMP detachment of Medicine Lodge Coulee where first services where read.
The Canada and Alberta flags in front of this church are blowing in a westerly breeze in respect for my friend David
How very special it was ! to share final prayers with him and his family - via the phone. We are all blessed indeed!
