Obituary of Keith Donald Benner

April 22, 2023 - Mossleigh, Alberta

Keith Benner, beloved husband of  Leslie Benner (nee Giesbrecht), of Mossleigh, AB, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the age of 68 years.

We pour a drink and tip our hats to a man who left many impressions wherever he went and whoever he met. Keith embraced life with a simple and true nature. From the calmness and oneness, he had with a horse, to his joy and love of family and friends. He was a country gentleman with a cowboy heart and soul. These traits were the essence of who Keith was. Keith was very astute, knowledgeable, and passionate about a great many things. He was able to fix or build anything and accomplish everything he set his mind to. He was an accomplished horseman, avid gardener, and an incredible model builder with an impressive collection, he had a love for cooking and was a proud member of the Mossleigh Lions Club. We lost one of the good ones.

Besides his loving wife, Keith is survived by his two sons, Scott, and Brad; three daughters-in-law, Khanh, Karmen, and Kaitlynn; thirteen grandchildren, Kadin, Willow, Bastian, Aurora, Sheena, Deklen, Logan, Ashton, Leiland, Cheyenne, Brooklyn, Layla, and Micah; and lastly his little buddy Spud. Keith is also survived by his two brothers, Greg, and Ken; three sisters, Diane, Corrine, and Kelly; siblings-in-law, Jeff, Linda, Rick, Kevin, Lee, Tim, Mark, and Denise; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Keith was predeceased by his son Trevor, and parents, Lyle and Thelma.

To all family and friends thank you for the love and support. We will be throwing a Celebration of Life country party for Keith Benner Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m at the Mossleigh Community Hall on. Please join us for food, drink, and stories of Keith.
