Condolences
We have many wonderful memories of Leslie since the early 1980’s. Whether we were hiking, dining, celebrating birthdays or out for a city walk we were always guaranteed laughter together. We will miss Les’ sparkle and friendship. She contributed to various communities such as the school parent council and projects such as the Labyrinth at Christ Church Elbow Park. Les would put her heart and soul into any responsibility she took on. Family was first priority. Les’ son Cameron and daughter Kelsey are exemplary models of the values both Les and Rich shared.
I was lucky enough to be friends with Leslie through her teenage years in Kilworth and her early days in Calgary. When she met Rich in Calgary and kept telling me about this great guy that I had to meet. Lucky again, I became friends with Rich and enjoyed my time with Rich and Leslie, whether at a spooky Halloween Party or on a ski hill, where some tall lanky guy telemarked up Lake Louise then pretty much beat me to the bottom on cross country skis. I remained friends with Leslie after we lost Rich and watched her raise two great kids and had lots of fun when she would come back to London to visit or I would visit Calgary. We have lost a great lady, but lucky for me I got to be her friend for almost fifty years.
