Obituary of Annette Logan
January 30, 1949 – Halifax, Nova Scotia
May 1, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta
Annette Logan (nee Pettis), beloved wife of Frank Priolo, of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2023, at the age of 74 years.
Annette was born on January 30, 1949, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and moved to Calgary in 1976 to start her wonderful life out west. She met Frank and they created a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and a family with many adventures. She and Frank took several vacations over the years, including a trip to Italy and a voyage on the Royal Clipper sailship. They also enjoyed entertaining friends and family on their acreage with parties, bonfires, and delicious meals. Her cooking and baking were always prepared with love and will be dearly missed by her family.
Annette was a devoted grandmother, and she cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She organized craft projects and baked cookies with them on every occasion.
Annette was also a very talented and creative artist, who had many hobbies and interests and was a member of the Chinook Decorative Artists for 35 years. Once Annette retired from her long career at the University of Calgary, she took up bird watching and joined the West Hillhurst Go-Getters which quenched her zest for socializing. Her legacy will be one of love and friendship. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and strength.
Annette is survived by her husband Frank, her daughter Andrea (Pasquale), her son Rob (Courtney), Frank’s daughter Gina, his son Louis (Nicole), and her grandchildren Madeline, Sophia, Van, Maren, Lorenzo, and Lucas. She is also survived by her brother David (Corinne), her sisters Lynn (Gordon), Joyce (Gary), and Lila (Jeff); and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her dear cat Teddy.
Annette spent the last few weeks of her life at the Rosedale Hospice. We wish to thank all the staff for their exceptional care and kindness.
