With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Glenn Kevin Abayon on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 30 years old.

 

Glenn was born in Naga City, Camarines Sur, Philippines on July 3, 1992, and immigrated to Canada with his family in May 2006. He graduated from Father Lacombe High School in 2011. Glenn earned a Practical Nurse Diploma at Bow Valley College. He was employed at Stettler Hospital and Care Centre as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

 

During his free time, Glenn enjoys playing video games, basketball, hiking and socializing with his friends. He is also a long-time food lover and later discovered that he also enjoys cooking. 

 

Glenn is survived by his father Glecerio Sr., stepmother Elisa, brother Glecerio Jr., sister Grazielle, nieces Azalea and Gianna, his extended family, and his countless friends who also became his family.

 

Glenn was predeceased by his mother, Teresita.

 

Glenn will be most remembered as a compassionate and hard-working person by his colleagues and as a generous and adventurous person by his friends and loved ones.

 

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

 

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Albert the Great (Prestwick Cir SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
