Obituary of Jess Denton

Jessica “Jess” Denton, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the age of 18 years. Jess was born in Calgary, AB.

 

Jess graduated from Discovering Choices and was an Honor Roll student. She had been accepted into McGill University, Mount Royal, and the University of Calgary for various degrees.

 

Jess competed as a Skier. Jess won medals for her racing. Jess’s most memorable vacation was when she went to Austria with the NASA Ski Club. Jess’s other memorable vacations were visiting her grandparents.

 

Jess accomplished much through her short life and was particularly proud of her gold medals at the Alberta Winter Games in 2018 in Fort McMurray, AB.

 

Jess is survived by her daughter and daughter's father; her parents, two sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jess was predeceased by her grandparents The Dentons.

 

Jess was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Memorial Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
