Robert (Bob) Waring, beloved husband of Carol Waring (nee Payne) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the age of 85 years.

Bob married Carol in 1959. Bob’s life-long occupation was as a driver-salesman, working for Palm Dairies for many years, before moving to McGavins Bread in his mid-40s. He was a loyal employee and a gifted salesman.

Bob, along with his wife Carol, were members of The Fraternal Order of Eagles, in the 1970s through 1990s and participated in several Curling Bonspiels.

Bob enjoyed camping with his family on weekends with their truck and camper. Their favorite places were Carseland Campground and Bow Valley Campground. He and Carol were avid bird watchers.

He will be most remembered for his quirky sayings over the years and his dry sense of humor. He had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew him.

Besides his loving wife, Bob is survived by his daughter, Diana Berry and his son-in-law, Rob Berry; his son, Dan Waring and daughter-in-law, Diane, all in Calgary. Bob is survived by four grandchildren, Shelaine Thompson of Calgary, Tanner Berry of Calgary, Cassidy Waring in Vancouver and Cooper Waring in California.

Bob is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Grayson Thompson and Luca Berry of Calgary.

Bob is survived by two half-sisters, Cheryl Campbell of Calgary and Bev Waring of Utah; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his older brother, Richard Waring Junior and his sister-in-law, Elaine Waring; as well as his father Richard Waring Senior and Irene Hutt (nee Harris).
