Obituary of Dorothy Irene Gooder

January 5, 1948 – Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

May 7, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Dorothy Gooder was born on January 5, 1948, in Prince Albert, SK and passed away on May 7, 2023, in Calgary, AB at the age of 75. She enjoyed golfing, crosswords and reading, but most of all she loved spending time with friends and family.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Walt Gooder, her son Zachary Forrest and her parents Royal and Nellie Keyser.

She is survived by her son Jeremy Forrest and his wife and children Nicole, Danielle and James Forrest, as well as her grandson Max Forrest and his mum Kathy Patrick. She is also survived by her sisters, Diane Dodds, Marg Goulard and Sandy Watson.

Dorothy will be most remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bisch and his team at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, and the staff of unit 42 at the Foothills Hospital for their care and compassion.

A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday May 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
