Obituary of Logan Jude Schnell

Logan Schnell of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the age of 23 years.

Logan was a sweet, sensitive child with a great sense of humour and a beautiful laugh. He loved to read and had a passion and natural ability for music and art, playing clarinet in his school band and studying art all through school.

Logan put on his first set of skis at the age of three, and spent many happy days in the mountains skiing with family and friends. He played both soccer and hockey for several years, achieved his Bronze Medallion in swimming, and his blue belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Logan (also known as Maxxie to many friends) loved to express his unique personality through his hair, makeup and clothing.

Logan struggled with his mental health for much of his life ultimately resulting in his untimely death at the age of twenty-three.

During his life, Logan cared deeply for his pets Badger, Teddy and Oscar; his loving parents Zak and Nicole; his cherished brother Riley; his grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins; and diverse group of friends.

Logan often cared more for others than he did for himself, and in his death, gave his final gift of the donation of both his kidneys and his liver so that three others could live on.
