Obituary of Andrew Blair Bushell

Andrew Bushell, the beloved husband of Marilyn Bushell (nee McComb) for 35 years of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the age of 67 years.

Andrew was born in Lethbridge, AB, on June 5, 1955, but spent most of his years in Calgary, AB.

Andrew graduated from SAIT in Graphic Communications and Print Technology and spent his working years in the printing industry, and was an owner of FoilPlus Ltd.

He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for nearly fifteen years, and enjoyed volunteering where he could.

Andrew was passionate about bellringing at Calgary's Anglican Parish of Christ Church. These are traditional English bells. This allowed Andrew to travel through England, and parts of the USA, polishing his skill. Andrew and Marilyn enjoyed several trips to England because of this hobby, but he could no longer enjoy this pastime due to a stroke.

Besides his loving wife, Marilyn Bushell, Andrew is survived by his two sisters Cheyne Parkinson (Jerry), and Leslie Thompson; brother James Bushell (Eliana), all of Calgary, AB, plus several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews.

Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Beverley Bushell, his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Beverley McComb, and his brother-in-law Rod Thompson.

An informal gathering to share stories and memories of Andrew’s life will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the RCL Jubilee Branch 286, #5 1107 – 33 Street NE, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
