Obituary of Beverly Ann Glessing

March 8, 1962 - Regina, Saskatchewan

May 13, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Ann Glessing (nee Runge) on May 13, 2023. She was taken far too soon after a short battle with cancer.

Beverly was born on March 8, 1962, in Regina, SK. She was the youngest daughter of Andrew and Caroline Runge and was raised on the farm in Odessa, SK with her two brothers and eight sisters. Bev moved to Calgary, AB in 1985 where she met Dan. They were married on November 22, 1991, and together they raised two daughters, Lee, and Olivia. Bev loved caring for her daughters and everyone around her. One of her best and most memorable qualities was her caring nature; she was always putting others before herself and ensuring everyone felt included throughout her life.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Caroline and Andrew Runge, her oldest brother Bryan, brothers-in-law Stanley Weichel and Livio Ricci, and her mother-in-law Isabel Glessing.

She is survived by her loving husband Dan, her oldest daughter Lee, son-in-law Jake and precious granddaughter Miller Thompson, Bev's youngest daughter Olivia Glessing; siblings Shirley Weichel, Kathleen (Adam) Kress, Dianne (Gary) Gruber, Grace Schimanowsky, Daryl Runge, Vivian Ricci, Elaine (Dennis) Serelo, Miriam (Rodd) Hoffart and Bertha/Terri (Blair) Loewen; siblings-in-law Alan (Anne) Glessing, Doug Glessing, Ken Glessing, Tim (Michelleke) Glessing and Linda (Rob) Kaminski; and her many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Dr. Natalie Ward, Dr. Kareem Jamani, and all the amazing team at Foothills Hospital and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre BMT clinic.
