Condolences
Ron was a wonderful man, and gave the toast at my wedding 38 years ago. He was a grand friend and neighbour to my parents. I wish you all comfort in you many memories.
Our thoughts are with all of you during this very difficult time. My dad thought the world of Ron and held him in very high regard when they worked along side one another at Shell/Hallmark.
On behalf of the Marchand and Hardy family, I would like to offer our most sincere condolences at the passing of Mr Northcott. We will keep each and everyone of you in our hearts and prayers.
A gentle-man both on and off the curling ice.Ron was a fierce competitor and it was always and honor to play against his great teams . In the business world he created Hallmark Tubulars one of Calgary's most sucessful companies . I will personally miss his friendly smile.Unfortunately both Barb and I will miss the funeral because of personal health problems but we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Gerry and the family.
Sharon and I have many happy memories of our families partying together. Dad always said, with much good humour, that Ron (and Jimmy) did so well because he wasn't on the team. Our thoughts are with you.
Dear Gerry, Karen and Greg,
Ron will always be present with everyone, having created so many wonderful memories with so many people. We are especially blessed to have shared so many memorable moments with him, thanks to all of the summers that he graciously welcomed us into your home and his heart, teaching us, making us laugh, and cooking with charcoal like no other. Ron made everyone see the best in themselves.
Marg, Garry and Mick Sawka

Gerry and Family,
Lots of great people in the curling world, but NONE greater than Ron Northcott!! My brother Jack played third for Ron for many years, and the year John Ferguson and I aged out of Junior we joined them for one of our most enjoyable seasons of learning about the game from a consummate professionals perspective.
The world was a much better place with Ron in it. He will be sorrily missed but always remembered.
Doug McFarlane
So sorry to hear this. Our deep condolences to the Northcott family at this difficult time.
I remember Ron coming in to see Mickey McIntosh at Home Oil when he worked for Tubular. He was always the consummate gentleman with a warm smile and a kind greeting. Condolences to the Northcott family.

I am very sad I lost one of my best friends. I remember I met him in Tokyo at 1976 Hallmark Alloys time which he was doing special tubing. At that time we used other party for OCTG but we weren't satisfied with their performance. So we started OCTG business since 1978 or '79. He invited me to his house and I enjoyed betting on the horse races. I have so many good memories with him. Very Sorry to hear this news.
