It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing, in Calgary, AB, of our son, father, common-law husband, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend, Michael Simeon, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the age of 27 years.

Michael was a leap-year baby and the youngest son of Delphine Dixon. He enjoyed and loved to laugh and joke around with his friends and siblings. Most of all, he loved his mother, sisters, and his daughter Myla. They were the world to him.

Michael received his education at Morley Community School and afterward worked at various places. Michael enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He loved his Cultural Traditions, including drumming and singing Pow Wow songs, and attending sundances. He was very creative and even made his own rap music and beatboxing songs.

Michael is survived by his loving daughter Myla, his common-law wife Alexis Lefthand, his mother Delphine Dixon, sisters, Hope (Dale), Kayla (Clint), Jersey (Grayson), and Karen (Warren); his cousins; his aunts, Evangeline Benjamin, Margaret Simeon (Patrick), Audrey Simeon, Florine (Gilbert), and Geraldine Cattlemen; his uncles, Winston Simeon and Dexter Amos (Bobbi Jo); his mother-in-law Cecilia Lefthand, and many other extended family and friends. We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Michael was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Jack and Cindy Simeon, and Joan Hunter; uncles, Michael Simeon Sr., Melvin Rabbit, and Murphy Poucette; his aunties, Rosie Hunter and Rachel Poucette; his cousins, Killian, Holly, Nakoda, Kevin Hunter Jr., and Winston Simeon Jr.; and his nieces, Neveah, Perseis, and Shia.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Margaret Simeon (Morley, AB) on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).
