May 18, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Letecia other known as Nanay Letty, beloved wife of Tatay Carlos, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the age of 81 years.

Nanay Letty was born in Sta. Ana Pandan Antique, Philippines on October 21, 1941, the youngest of five children of Lolo Vidal and Lola Lamberta. She grew up in Antique, Philippines where she enjoyed living both in the province and in Manila where she met Tatay Carlos.

Tatay Carlos worked in the National Waterworks and Sewerage Authority Philippines as a Security Guard that led them to live in Bulacan, Manila, Philippines. A couple of years after his passing, Nanay Letty flew to Calgary and lived with her two daughters, Rosalina and Adelaida. She enjoyed her traditional cuisine, as well as planting vegetables and fruits during spring. She especially loved to see the flowers bloom after a long winter. She also enjoyed travelling to many places, such as Vancouver, Seattle, Hawaii, Victoria, Kelowna and much more alongside her occasional casino trips.

Nany Letty showed her affection by pulling people close and giving them big hugs and finishing it off with a giant sniff, a comforting gesture of her love we will never forget. She loved her children and all her 36 loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nanay Letty was a fun and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will always be remembered with love by her children, Rosalina, Adelaida, Carlos, and Rafael and all her grandchildren. Nanay Letty was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Grecencio, Consolacion, Jose, and Pacita, and her two sons, Christopher, Ricardo and grandson Rafael.
