Betty Jean Morrison (nee Russell) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the age of 89 years. She was born in Innisfail, AB on April 14, 1934.

 

Betty was married to the love of her life, Jack Morrison, for over 60 years. Their marriage was filled with love and companionship, and together they built a beautiful life. Betty and Jack were inseparable, supporting each other through thick and thin.

 

Betty had a passion for art and music that ignited when she was quite young and carried on throughout her entire life. She possessed a remarkable talent for ceramics and turned her passion into a successful business. Betty took great pride in her work, creating beautiful pieces that brought joy to those who admired them. Her artistic abilities were admired by many, and she leaves behind a legacy of creativity and craftsmanship.

 

When Betty wasn't busy with her ceramics, she cherished the moments spent with her family, especially during their trips to Maui. The beauty of the island resonated with her, and she found solace and happiness in the company of her loved ones in such a serene setting.

 

Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Lynn, and son, Kevin (Dawna). She was also blessed with three grandsons, Kyle, Tyler (Sam), and Ian (Kaitlyn), and a granddaughter, Sabrina, who brought immense joy to her life. Additionally, Betty leaves behind two great-grandsons, Deegan and Leven, who were the light of her later years. She shared a deep bond with her family, and they will forever cherish the memories they made together.

 

Betty was predeceased by her mother and father, as well as her beloved husband, Jack, and great-granddaughter, Hope. Although she has left this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Betty Jean Morrison will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, creativity, and devotion will endure for generations to come.
